Succeeding feels good!

Hey everyone,

For those who've read my last couple posts, you know i've been back and forth with nursing as I have faced failing a class and lost my spirit. I went through an up and down reflection period to decide who i was, to find God again, and to find my self-worth. Reading books, many prayers, and just taking time for me definitely repaved my path on this unbelievable journey.

I could spend hours talking about how i feel about this profession, school, labs, clinicals, teachers, study guides, NCLEX questions, blah blah blah.... but we need stay positive here!!! i mean hey! isn't that what we're taught to do when caring for patients?

-'stay positive!'-

I've started my medsurg II class again, second time around, and i had my first exam 2 days ago. The first time i took it, i failed miserably, as did majority of the class! This time around? Well, i read, i studied, i tutored, i pushed through!!! I did it!! I passed my first exam!!! I was thrilled!!! :roflmao:honestly i was hoping for a better grade, but i cannot be too picky at this point. I just need to pass so i can move forward with the program.

I have my next medsurg test on monday and have already finished most of my assignments for this week!

Tutoring is helping a lot!!! My teachers and mentors are constantly saying use your resources!!! Any time i find a new resource, i get excited~i'm a nerd lol :writing:

I just want to be a positive note in someone's difficult journey right now. Nursing is no joke. But if its something you really want.. and can FEEL!... *you know what i mean if you're anything like me* ... then push through!!

Because once you get there... succeeding feels good!

Happy studying!!

imagine great things,

That's so GREAT!!! I love to hear student success stories like yours.

And - it would seem that those mean old teachers were right, huh? The key to success is changing the way you learn and study, including taking advantage of resources that are available. Hmm - sounds like they want you to succeed, wouldn't you say? :sarcastic:
