Hi, my name is Teresa and I am a second semester nursing student in Connecticut. I am looking for anyone that would like to be an email buddy because I need support through this program. I appreciate nurses so much now because these classes are not easy. I am taking A&P1 now and doing pretty well, but some motivation from others would be great. Its been pretty hard for me this year because I just got engaged this christmas but go to school an hour away from my fiance. Anyways, my mom is urging me not to wait the next three years to get married and any advice would do. Anyone that would like to be my buddy can email me at Teresab_2000@excite.com. Thanks!!!
I got engaged my first year of clinical (my junior year in college), and got married the following summer. My husband graduated from college the week before we got married, and moved to the city where I was going to school so I could finish.
A lot of my classmates were engaged, too, and the majority of them had been engaged for 2 years or longer before we graduated, so waiting 3 years isn't ridiculous, either. Tell your mom to chill.
I personally LOVED a&p...even though they were hard as h*** (my anat. class was taught by a former SURGEON...yikes!!). Just try to stay excited about what you're learning. If you enjoy it, you'll absorb so much more info. Think of class as a version of watching 'the Discovery Channel'...how fascinating those documentaries and educational films are. You KNOW you're glued to the t.v. when anything medical comes on...just look at class the same way. Bring home your cat/pig/beef heart you're dissecting (you ARE doing that, right?) and try to gross out your roommates by teaching them all the major muscles and bones...heh heh.
It's a GREAT way to reinforce the material.
Hang in there, woman! You'll be just fine.
