Student email buddies needed!!!

  1. Hi, my name is Teresa and I am a second semester nursing student in Connecticut. I am looking for anyone that would like to be an email buddy because I need support through this program. I appreciate nurses so much now because these classes are not easy. I am taking A&P1 now and doing pretty well, but some motivation from others would be great. Its been pretty hard for me this year because I just got engaged this christmas but go to school an hour away from my fiance. Anyways, my mom is urging me not to wait the next three years to get married and any advice would do. Anyone that would like to be my buddy can email me at Teresab_2000@excite.com. Thanks!!!

Hi, I am currently a Nsg student going for my BSN. I have already taken the pre-reqs (ie. the child psych, A&P, micro, pharm, etc.) Also, I got married during school as well. If you have any questions or just want to talk, you can email me at Redheadntn@aol.com.

I got engaged my first year of clinical (my junior year in college), and got married the following summer. My husband graduated from college the week before we got married, and moved to the city where I was going to school so I could finish.

A lot of my classmates were engaged, too, and the majority of them had been engaged for 2 years or longer before we graduated, so waiting 3 years isn't ridiculous, either. Tell your mom to chill.

I personally LOVED a&p...even though they were hard as h*** (my anat. class was taught by a former SURGEON...yikes!!). Just try to stay excited about what you're learning. If you enjoy it, you'll absorb so much more info. Think of class as a version of watching 'the Discovery Channel'...how fascinating those documentaries and educational films are. You KNOW you're glued to the t.v. when anything medical comes on...just look at class the same way. Bring home your cat/pig/beef heart you're dissecting (you ARE doing that, right?) and try to gross out your roommates by teaching them all the major muscles and bones...heh heh. It's a GREAT way to reinforce the material.

Hang in there, woman! You'll be just fine. .

Howdy fellow students, I am a second semester nursing student. I am currently taking A&P2 and LifeSpan. I'm a divorced mom with 2 kids (4 and 5-1/2). It is all I can do to remember to get dressed before I leave the house in the AM. I actually found myself reciting the circulation of blood through the heart while standing in the checkouts at WalMart. Please e-me at bugsb_27@yahoo.com ....Good luck to all.....

Hello, Sabrina. My name is Ray. I was a LPN for 8 years before I decided to go on and complete my BSN. I have been a RN since June of 2000 so my memories of student life are very fresh. I went to school full time, worked 45+ hours a week on an IMC unit, tried to be a good husband, and attempted to take care of myself along the way. There were people in my life who thought I meant only money when I mentioned supporting me through school. The most signigicant support came, and comes in the form of patience and understanding what is taking place for the student. If you need someone to share with, or to unload on, I'm here. If you need someone to expound your opinions, ideas, or theories out on I'm here to listen and I promise I will respond in a positive and proactive fashion.

    Hi:

I am always up for a pen pal. I am in my second semester of nursing as well..and suffering through A&P. My advice..stay away from people. I have this friend who happens to end up in all my classes and she is the biggest drain. She whines about how hard everything is and eventually sucks my enthusiasm out of me. I love all this stuff..and personally I never thought it would be easy.

I practive my A & P on my hubby and kids.

as far as getting married. THat is a big job in itself..and I have known a few people who tried to plan a wedding and do their clinicals. I say..do whatever you feel you can handle and don't let others make you feel like this nursing is some simple taks. IT takes a lot of dedication and discipline. In my opinion..I think I would wait till I am through with my nursing so I could enjoy my wedding day..not be all stressed from wondering how I am going to study on my honeymoon.

    YOu can email me anytime..

    Good luck to you.

    Hi,
I graduate August 2001 LPN Program and would love to be email buddies. I find myself becoming very overwhelmed this semester and some days are really really hard. Support from other SPN's is probable exactly what I need.
