Starting NS in January!

Yay congrats! I start my BSN program in January also! I'm behind stoked! Im a non traditional student with a family and am just beyond excited that it's finally my turn! Good luck to you!! :)

I start my program in Jan and I am excited and scared.

I actually have an app on my phone that is counting down til the first day, lol.

I start my ASN program in January as well. I'm excited but scared! I am going to stay prayed up! I am glad I have a great support system behind me to push me.

I start in January 13th as well. I'm terribly scared but super excited. It's a great feeling to have gotten accepted but the challenge has just begun.

Let's keep each other motivated and learn from each other's different experience.

Does any of you have to take a med calculation exam on orientation day?! Because I do and I am extremely nervous about it, as I have to score 90%.

I start on January 7! I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I am ready for the challenge and will just continue to pray that God guides me through this journey. I can't wait to see which area of nursing I am guided to while in school.

We have one but we get three tries and 80% is the cut off for the first semester. After that, it is 90 or better.

I started in Aug 2013. Good luck to all of you! For fundamentals, make sure you know the rationale behind the concepts and the associated nursing interventions & diagnoses. Health assessment was pretty black & white for us, just practice your skills and get comfortable in a systemic routine that you can do. Our clinicals were in the community and nursing homes. Clinical is a great time to see what you've been learning applied to real life and to start to feel like a nurse. Enjoy the free time now and stay ahead of your assignments!

I already had my first semester. But this will be first semester of clinicals. Different ball game. I start on January 15th and have to have a drug dosage test the first week as well!!
