I have come to the determination after 3 semesters of NS when they say "break", they really mean catch up I just finished two clinical objective papers and a client analysis for dialysis rotation. Not to mention making 2 flyers and 2 posters for a health fair and gluing together 200 green ribbons to be given out at the same health fair. And a pharm test the monday after spring break!!! I feel your pain. I have decided though that I am going to spend 2 days with my kiddos blowing bubbles or something other than doing paperwork!

Good Luck on your test and with the papers.

I know exactly where you guys are on this.

I have nine reports due after spring break. Granted, I've known about them since January but I've been so busy with work and my classes I've put most of them off until this week. :stone I had 4.5 done and only have 5 to actually write but still...the pressure is on.

I totally hear yall on that!!

I had my spring break the week before last. I had a clinical paper to write, an exam the Tues. after spring break to study for, a book to read so I could do the book report on it this week. Then we had to do 3 mandatory ERI exams. I was thinking what's the point of even having a spring break?!

It was nice to get a break away from class and clinicals for a week though, even if we had to read, study, write papers and worry about the big pile of stuff waiting for us when we got back

    Spring break - I wish!

No, I'm seriously just glad to be able to stay home for a week! My 130-mile/day commute is getting old, so I needed a break of some sort!

On the slate for this week, complete 15 hours of LSRN testing, organize my notes, and write/prepare a two presentations - one ANA's Handle with Care and the other on the Appalachian culture.

When we go back next week, we don't have any exam right away - our first days back are a couple of clinical days!

You guys couldn't have said it better! Spring break is another way of saying "catch up". Just when I thought I was alone in this torture. I also have an exam to study for (over 14 chapts in Med-surg) and more reading than I could possibly complete. It is nice to only go to work, and not school and clinicals too. SG

It's obvious that all those people you see on MTV having all that fun and games, don't go to NS. We had our 14 chapter med/surg test the week before, but had patient care the week before. which means a care plan due this morning. Had our community rotation and LTC rotation during spring break, with reports due on those as well. Looking forward to this summer when all I have to take is pharmacology. One day a week, yaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhoooooooooooo

Have A Great Day and Be Safe

I agree. They've actually piled on more assignments before we go on break Friday. So ... I'll pretty much be working the whole time.
