Ok, I need some help. I really never thought I would need help in this area but ......I guess NS brings out the best in you.
How did you all organize everything? I have so many pieces of paper that for now I just put them in a 3 ring binder. Do you keep your notes from reading seperate from lecture notes? Or just keep them all together?
Our tests are broken down by "units". So Unit 1 test is on 20+ chapters from the big book and 10 pages from the handbook and 3 Chapters from another book. Would you keep these seperate from lecture notes? seperate from each other? I'm so confused.
Please help me organize myself before I go crazy.

I keep my lecture notes in one folder. I chose one that's a presentation map, rather than ringbinders, so I can add in my bits of paper.
I keep the researched articles in another presentation map.
Another map for my handbook (we get, for each portfolio, a number of requirements, I have to keep going back to check what was it they wanted from me this time).
And a forth one, a ringbinder, for the final product, I suppose you have tests, I have essays and direct observations and reflections, sometimes exams.
The info from lecture notes usually gets transcribed onto flashcards, or I use coloured sheets of paper to note separatly the important info.
The articles I read are normally my downloaded copies, I use a highlighter pen for the bits I need. I rarely buy the books, if they are from the library I use cards to write down the required info. I keep them together.
That's my system, but at the end, when it comes down to getting the final product out, my room looks like it's been hit by a hurricane. Once the portfolio is submitted, glass of wine in hand, I shove everything in a cardboard box and promise myself solemnly, i'll sort it all out on holidays. Yeah right.
