ok so i got my financial aid accepted and all ready to register for classes and then chickened out. i have been off since october when i lost my job as a legal assistant. i also just lost my sister to cancer a little over a week ago. i'm so sad. so now, i am about to have to accept a job offer in the next few weeks to get back to work. i do not have family here to help me with school and my 9 yr old. his dad lives about 45 minutes away and has offered for us to live with him while i attend school but not just as friends. ugh sooo, i do not know how i will accomplish this but i know i am not happy doing legal work anymore. my son's girlfriend just had a baby and i so envied the nurses in the labor/delivery ward!!! my sister told me do what you like cause life is short. she was 41 when she died and i am 46. i went to college 4 years but only have an associates degree. i want to love to go to work.

have any of you accomplished this on your own with a mortgage? if so, how?? my grant would pay for school but the loans are not much at all. i realize i would have to work part time but not sure how that would work even or how i could afford babysitting for evenings. ugh i know some women do this somehow but i am chicken or don't know how!!!

It's possible just makes it harder. There's alot of threads about single moms if you use search bar. The fact that he's 9 makes it easier since he goes to school and kinda independent. As far as everything else I can't think of anything. Just schedule classes while hes in class
