Signing contract to work for HCA hospital if they pay tuition? How do I do this?

I work for HCA currently and want to finish my prereqs and go to RN school. I am a Transcriptionist at the present time. I have only a couple classes left before I can apply to an RN program and also need to take the NET - I think Nutrition and College Alg. and Microbiology. Do you know who I am supposed to call and what questions should I ask about signing a contract with HCA to work for them after I finish RN school, if they pay for my school? I found a few posts on here of folks who have done this and just need some advice. Thanks so much in advance!

One of the things that you need to keep in mind is that there are quite a few "what if's" in those contracts that can actually happen.

The money that they give you is after tax...but if you have to pay it back, you'll pay the gross amount.

You need to ask if you have a choice of departments...don't let them tell you "Oh, we wouldn't want to put you where you don't want to work"...when they have you under contract, they can put you where ever they want to put you.

Ask what happens if you get laid off (some hospitals are doing this) or involuntarily terminated.

Ask what happens if you fail a semester.

I forgot one more thing...ask if it's prorated.

Some hospitals do prorate the amount that you pay back, but some don't.
