Should I bring cookies to the unit where I had my preceptorship at?

^^topic^^. The reason why I want to bring cookies to the unit is due to the fact I had my precetporship there and my preceptor was kind enough to write a letter of reference for me. Would it be too much?

Bringing a treat would be a nice gesture and a user-friendly way to say thank you to your preceptor and the unit that you worked on. Most nurses I know love cookies. Even if they are not currently indulging, they still appreciate the thought.

Go for it! :cookies:

Our clinical groups have given a small gift to each clinical instructor and have given something to the staff to share (food usually haha) on our last day. It is always very appreciated and is a nice thank you!

I agree with the others. Cookies is a great way of showing your appreciation and means alot.

I brought bagels to mine! everyone loved it.

Food is enjoyed by most people. Donuts, muffins, bagels, cookies, cake have all been welcomed. If you want a healthier version fruit and veggies are also a good choice. My experience having been a nurse for many years, food was always welcomed by all.

It is great that you want to do something to show your appreciation.

Absolutely! I did it on my last clinical days for all the units where I did my clinical rotations. On my first day at the place where I ended up working one of the Physicians said, "oh yes you were the student that brought bagels" I was surprised and figured he must have liked them. :)

We all collectively got our preceptor a massage for the crap we put her through. She is our instructor again and she still cant stop talking about how nice it was for us to do that for her

i got my preceptor (well, the whole unit actually) a basket full of goodies. i went to the dollar store and bought popcorn, cookies, crackers, snack cakes, juice boxes.... it only cost me like $15, but everyone got something to munch on!

food is always a good choice! that's a sure way to a nurse's heart.... :D
