Shoes for clinical rotation!

So I'm officially starting nursing school tomorrow, no more gen Ed's, finally!! Anyway, I've been putting off buying shows because I don't know what type of leather I Should buy of dansko. Oiled or cabrio?? Which will hold up the best?

I generally live in flip-flops and thus have wide feet with high arches so I wanted to get a shoe that could accomodate that. I spent hour reading reviews on Amazon and finally found one reviewed by many nurses. I ended up getting the Sketchers "Premium Premix #1704" in white and wide. It is slip-on, all white, and fully encloses the foot as required by my nursing school. They feel great so far.

I have trouble finding comfy shoes, but I've been wearing Klogs (the Naples style) for over 2 years. I love them! Good support but still have some cushion. I tried Danskos and they made my feet hurt way too bad, even after multiple attempts to break them in.

They're cute. Do you wear them with socks?

Something I've noticed that really makes a difference: compression socks. I have a bunch of Sockwells which are merino wool (plus!) and super cute (double plus!).

One thing I found most helpful is to go shopping at the end of the day. Your feet swell as the day wears on and what is comfy in the am may pinch or hurt by the PM.

I bought a pair Asics and I can honestly say they feel amazing on my feet. At the end of the day my feet are in no pain:)
