Nursing Students General Students

Published

Hi! I have officially completed the first year of my two year RN program. I have done both Fundamentals and OB/Pedi. I was looking to see how I could go about taking the exam to become a LPN while I am off for the Summer (and hopefully keep during school). I live in Massachusetts and I'm not sure where to go from here. I don't necessarily have my heart set on LPN, but something that would allow me to use my experience and also further my skills. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

I wouldn't get the LPN. I live in Mass as well, and to get your LPN you have to finish the summer session to get it. If you are not set on LTC then I would skip the LPN. You can look into hospitals that are looking for student nurses. They pay very close to LPN pay at a LTC facility. Good luck :) At least near me in Springfield that's how it is.
