Scholarships for 2nd degree students=nonexistant?!

Hello all.

I am preparing to start my program in Spring 2015. This is my second degree and I want to ask everyone who is of a second degree seeker, is grants/scholarships that rare for you? I know it's not totally nonexistent but how common were they for you?

Also, majority of scholarships are merit based on grades? what about financial need, special considerations, etc?

Thank you!

There are quite a few different scholarship listings here. Don't always go by what the school has to offer, look at local and national groups as well.

Financial aid offices often have postings of available scholarships in the community; see what's there and for what you might be eligible.

Nursing was a second degree for me, but I qualified for merit scholarships from private philanthropic organizations, and even a bank.

Good luck!
