Does your library at school have a database you can search? Ours does, but for the life of me I can't remember the exact name right now! You might want to ask your library. EBSCO I think is the name of it...

The article is from 1997 but it IS a nursing journal!!! Here's the citation.....

The complete blood count: physiologic basis and clinical usage.(Hematologic and Autoimmune Disorders)

Date: 12/01/1997; Reading Level: 9.

What databases have you been searching on? I just ran a search on CINAHL and found two articles from 2003. If you don't have access, just let me know and I'd be happy to email you the abstracts and full info.

Hey, good try and thanks BUT, sadly, I'd found that one already and the rule for all stuff we use at my school, be it an article or a textbook, is that it be no more than 5 years old.

I really appreciate the effort though! :)

Hmmm, not 100% sure I have access to that DB, looks familiar though. I'll go take a look then get back to ya.

Did you try AJN online? I can't remember the exact link to it right now, but if you type in American Journal of Nursing into a search engine, you should get to it.

I know what you mean about thinking it would be easy to find an article and not being able to. I've been online all day trying to find one about dialysis, renal failure, ESRD, ect...NOTHING!!! Very frustrating!!!
