Thanks for your article. As you may know the CA board of nursing is denying graduates from the Philippines from becoming RN. I an glad you explore your culture and obtained your love of nursing. I wish you the best in your nursing career.

I sorry I didn't mean anything like that, I'm just saying its really unfair that the only two options given is to find a school in California that is willing to accommodate or to move out of state to take the two classes along with finding a school that can accommodate.

Not everyone is in the same financial shape as most folks are and fact that my entire family is in CA it's a great move but very expensive as well
I agree moving out of state is expen$ive and not needed, as the OP (lyly) said that her close friends already took the deficient courses in CA, got their ATT and ready to take the NCLEX-RN in CA, just waiting for lyly to reply back here to this particular thread, as she mentioned this in the first section.

So soon, we should have the answer and be able to stay in CA....yippee!!

I think its a bad time to say that im lyly's friend she was talking about. and sadly I took it out of state California is too impacted for schools. I hope you take my advice from one aspiring nurse to another that, anything and everything is needed to be done to take the nclex. Good luck to you

Ahhh.okay, but according to lyly's comment was that she has some close friends that took the deficient courses recently in So CAL, not out of state.

It seems maybe you are one of her close friends, what about your other friends that took the courses in CA? Can you please contact them to see which school in CA they got to take the deficient courses in? Thanks!

If your friends (or if lyly can contact them as well) were able to name the CA school, then it's not necessary to go out of CA and waste money for another living area as most of us in CA already have existing places to stay with family, friends and relatives. Thanks!

Btw, what's the name of the out of state school you went to so that others can benefit from your success, maybe others with available funds can go forward to meet their requirements. It doesn't matter if they are not accepting other PH students, they can try and the school will see there's a demand and let them make their own decisions, thanks!

Hi i have a question what if u have a license from other state then took your deficient units as advised by ca-bon (assuming u got denied at ca and they ask u to take ob/medsurg again) .. will they give u ca license or you will still take the nclex exam to get a ca license?

I believe you would be able to endorse your license if you complete your deficiencies. I don't think there is no need to take to take nclex again. The only thing is finding a school that is willing to accept you
