Every single day I felt like quitting.

I had to keep my eye on the goal, while taking it one day at a time.

I'm sure there isn't a student here that didn't at least once get overwhelmed and think about quitting.

I agree nearly everyday...but I pushed through and I am almost done!! Almost every nurse that I have ever spoken to has said that same thing...but they all told me do not give up..Nursing School sucks and is NOTHING like the real world..and your whole life and out look will change when you graduate and get a real job!! Keep going..you can do it!!!!

The words came out of my mouth once after a particularly bad clinical day. But I got over it. my clinical group is really supportive. I just keep telling myself, "It's going to be worth it in the end!!" It really will.

thanks. It does suck....why do they have to give an exam at 7:30am the first day of school??? *growl* is it just me or does everyone else have to go through a catalog size sylabus to pick out the fine print of due dates?? I guess Im just overwhelmed..

I have a love-hate relationship w/ school. Love that I am doing it, but the work is a killer...

I want to quit during the evenings when I have 8 hours worth of clinical paperwork left and it's 10PM. Yeah, sucks!

I'm in the "every day" category too....but the thought of telling people I've quit after all the work I went to get to here helps keep me humble and going back for more. Plus, I truly hope that I will find my niche and be able to feel I'm making a difference in this career -- something I never did while working in IT in a cube.

I guess until someone tells me I can't go back, I'll just keep on keepin' on!!

not a quiter:spin:, At my age 36, most of my classmates are very and even my clinical instructors, being around with them keeps me going. think positive.

Almost everyday I think of quitting but I keep on pushing myself. The only thing that keeps me in school are the clinicals -- I absolutely love the clinicals.

I was talking to a staff nurse today during clinicals and she has been a nurse for almost 13 years. I asked her if she still enjoyed her job and she said she loves her job but she told me she HATED nursing school and hated the nursing profession for the first 5 years. But now she loves it. Hopefully I don't hate the profession when I start practicing!
