    Hi all!

    Just trying to figure out a quiet place (that is open kinda late) where I can study. The libraries seem to close fairly early, and I am distracted in places like coffee shops.

    I live in the SF Bay area in California... any suggestions?

    You should check into other local university libraries.Some might be open even until like 12 a.m.

    Most Universities have a study section of the library that is open 24 hours. Pretty sure SF State does.

    lots of universities are open til 12AM....
    even like a quiet bar could work, or I've been known to study at a park in my car during the sunlight hours...

    I say stay at home and wear a pair of ear silencers or ear plugs. I live with a very annoying brother who does everything loud...listen to music....watch tv...talk on his cell phone. I just put on a pair of ear muff silencers when I want to study and its as if he doesn't even exist.

    I LOVE this idea... I have a very annoying 16 year old brother who also does EVERYTHING loud. He also really enjoys playing Rock Band (which is awesome) and the pinging of those drum sticks makes me a little suicidal,:sfxpld: lol... j/k (but close)! I think I will DEFINITELY try this, I usually just try to tone him out, but that doesn't always work.

    I often go to the coffee shop in Border's bookstore. They're open till 10 or 11 and by later in the evening they're usually pretty quiet.

    Barnes & Noble too! They are open till 11pm I think.
