Question about classes

  1. Hi, I've been accepted into my area's community college nursing program. Over the summer I will need to take Nursing I, and Anatomy and Physiology I. I've actually attended a university for the past four years where I minored in biology so it is because of this I have some concerns. I am 3.5 months pregnant and when I start the summer courses I will be close to six months. Obviously I'm concerned about handling chemicals and performing lab experiments that might be detrimental to my baby's health. I know had I been pregnant at my university (based on my lengthy experience there) the instructors would most likely have allowed me to do substitute experiments for credit, but I'm not so sure how the NURSING program will feel about such things. I'm not completely handicapped with it, I could still perform most of the duties required of students, but simply not ones that require me to handle certain chemicals (either through inhalation of physically using). I know people have taken A&PI on here, what kinds of experiments did you do?

    Thanks,
    Melanie
