Provisional License Help Please

I need help please!!
I have just applied for my provisional license,(LPN). My question(s) are: Can I do my 120 hours under this license without applying to take the NCLEX for a a month or so until I can get the money to pay for the NCLEX testing fee? Also, how do you do the background check online? I have found the background check online but what I have found is a form to print out and fax in. I have searched and searched on the Ky BON website and am just getting more and more confused!! Thank you in advance for any help.
