Planning to take any summer classes?

I know more school is probably the last thing anyone wants to think about right now, but are you planning to take any summer classes? Planning ahead is my thing, so I'm planning to take:

  • Chemistry 101 online - 8wks (early June - late July)
  • Advanced Comp. online - 4wks (late July - early Aug.)

I love the idea of taking online classes, staying home in my pjs and doing school whenever it works in my schedule. I suppose waking up at 0430 for clinical twice a week will do that to a person...

I'll be taking Chemistry this summer. Debating adding a second class to that, but I'm not sure what as the only required pre-reqs I have left are chemistry and statistics and I'm not sure it is wise for me to take them at the same time. Maybe I'll take a fun class, maybe I'll take a bit of a break and enjoy the summer. I'll see when I get there.

Can you take them in separate sessions during the summer?

For example: 8 weeks of Chemistry, then 8 weeks of Statistics?

Taking a break to enjoy the summer sounds nice too! :)

NO! this is the first summer in several years that I haven't taken classes.....I finished all of my BSN track classes in the fall sooo I get a break....and I am SOOO happy about it lol

I took Statistics last summer. This summer I'm taking Microbiology (in person) and a Gen Ed class (online). Should be fun!! Thankfully I got an easy job working at the pool as front desk staff :)

I've taken summer classes forever or at least it feels like it!

I am currently in my RN to BSN and I'll be taking the last of the summer classes I'll ever have to take! No more degrees for me! I'm done.

The first half of the summer (6 wk course) I'll be taking Spanish and Medical Ethics, the second half (6 wks) will be all mine. First time in years that I'm not taking a full summer of classes. Nothing like slamming a semesters worth of work into 6 weeks :) (sarcasm).

pmabraham, that's exactly what I've been doing during breaks! :)

Hopefully this summer I'll be finishing up my last two pre-reqs for my RN-BSN program.

I'll be taking microbio. I didn't want to take summer classes, but since next semester also includes pathophysiology and pharmacology, I figured one less thing on my plate could only be a good thing. There's also an optional 1 credit lab class where students can practice skills and simulations to keep from getting rusty, but I think it's at the same time as micro and I don't love the idea of being on campus for 8+hours per day.
