Peds Nursing Test

Hi everyone,

I received a great Saunder's NCLEX-RN Comprehensive Review book for Christmas, and I am wondering if anyone ever uses this type of study guide to help them with their regular tests. We are in a pretty fast-track program and only have 5 weeks to cover a semester's worth of Pediatrics....so I'm hoping that this book will be my saving grace. There is so much information in the textbook, as we all know, but there is not enough hours in the day or days in a week to absorb this amount of info for the tests. I was a solid B student in Fundamentals, but my first 2 tests this semester for OB have me pulling only C's. I'm beside myself not knowing what to do....any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

We just got Saunder's but previously we were using Silvestri along with the ATI system and yes! I use all my NCLEX books for test review.. some teacher fashion the questions the same, some don't but either way you are only helping yourself get ready for NCLEX.

Our program does 5 week rotations too.. and sometimes it just seems massive, way to much to cover! I just started my ICU rotation today and I got the first 3 weeks worth of lecture notes and info and it is a few HUNDRED pages. Crazy. best advice.. do NOT get behind!!

:) Good luck.. I scraped by in peds.. but now I only have 10 weeks (2 rotations) to go.. we can do this!!!!

I used Saunder's to study for all of my Med/Surg exams and think it helped alot!

Saunder's is my fav book to study with. The text book has way too much material. I always review with my Nclex book. (I have the blue one that also has a summary of material a long with review questions)
