which PDA or something better?

I don't have a PDA for use during clinical. Some have suggested that it

might be useful to have a PDA. Another friend suggested that there are

other devices that might be even more useful.

So - I thought to ask here on the forum - which kind of PDA is most useful?

Or is there something even better?

iPhone. With the Apple iPhone you get an all in one. Skyscape supports the iPhone with many programs. The Apple iPhone has over 15,000 applications available too and I guarantee you will find MANY apps that will come in handy.

I got an iPod touch. I also got my programs through skyscape and I couldn't live without it!

IPHONE it is good, we have a whole bunch of perks plus wifi internet so you can google whatever you could not find! for ipod users there is free wifi in the hospital!

Palm Pre. It'll be out be the end of June at the latest. It will have epocrates support right out of the gate, and is an all-around superior phone to the iPhone.

iphone almost 2 yrs old and no body has matched it yet...

Matched it in what capacity?

My piece of junk windows mobile phone from 2005 can do everything the iPhone can do-- it's just less shiny.

I think you need to check out the pre, however, it's simply game-changing.

Just be sure to check and see if you are allowed a phone. We are required to purchase a PDA but it cannot be attached to a phone.

And..what are using it for? Will you use it after you graduate? What for?

I was a confirmed Palm user: had a treo and then centro. However, my practice just went to a Blackberry-onlyl compatible charting system so now I have a blackberry. Its just as nice.

I got an itouch about a month ago and I LOVE it!!!! I haven't had a PDA for about 10 years so I can't compare it to anything but it has made such a huge difference in how quickly I can get info for clinical and it's super easy to use!

Yeah just get an iPod touch and be done with it. The iPhone is nice but not worth the ridiculous price that ATT has on it.
