Hello everyone!

What materials/equipment were you required to buy for labs and clinicals?

How much did they cost you?

Thanks!

Uniform...bandage scissors, hemostat, stethoscope and watch.

Allheart.com has some awesome deals on the supplies. Not sure what you need, but I recommend checking them out!

Lol...cost-wise? About 50 for the uniform, 3 for the scissors and hemostat, 80 for the stethoscope and 25 for my watch.

Here's what I spent for clinicals:

Shoes - 125

Uniforms - 120 for 2 sets including 1 jacket

Steth - 225 (place I ordered from gave me scissors and hemostat with my order)

Watch - 15

I didn't include my compression socks since not everyone wears them.

For my labs and clinicals I had to buy a uniform and white shoes, as well as a stethoscope, scissors, watch, and pen light.

The price all depends on what your school requires.

My stethoscope was about $120

watch $15

Scissors $7

Penlight $1

Uniform was $70

Shoes were $40 because ours had to be leather

Uniform: $280 for 2 sets

Watch: $10 it was a cheap one from Walmart

Shoes: Gift from Mom but were $60

Stethoscope: Gift from Mom, cost $80

Scissors: Gift from Mom not sure of the price

Penlight: Kids broke mine need to get another for $5

In our program, it's a CC, we are not required to have our own "kits" for procedures/labs so I'm assuming that cost was built into the tuition.

Uniform-I have 2 pairs white pants, white shirts, and 1 labcoat, plus 2 pair of blue scrubs, white shoes-300 maybe?

Other: stethescope-69, penligts(6.99), watch(already had one), scissors-6-7?, nursing bag to carry everything-about 25-35.

I heard that it is good to buy the best stethoscope you can afford as it will allow you to learn to differentiate murmmers/breath sounds, etc. more easily

Uniform + badge ID + patch - $80 (?)

Stethoscope - $40 - broke - another one gifted

Watch - gifted

Penlight - $6

Lab supply pack - $60

White sneakers - $55

Lab Book - $80

For me it was ~$250 for supplies. over $350 with book and pocket guides, a lot more with background/drug and health physical

This is correct...You will really be able to hear much better with a good quality stethoscope. Mine is a Littman and I love it!
