Ok so I just got into the nursing program, and I am having a really hard time figuring out what kind of backpack I should buy. I've never had this problem because choosing a backpack wasn't such a big deal. Now it is becasue I will have 6 books to carry, plus my binder, my lunchbag, and laptop, so I want a really good backpack that will support all that and not rip apart within a few weeks. I have been thinking about buying the jansport rolling backpack for $110, the reviews are great, however there are some bad reviews about it ripping or the handle breaking. So before I spent $110 on it do any of you have any suggestions? Thank you

The Jansport brand is great. They really stand behind their product and if it rips/breaks/etc. they have a warranty. I currently use the Big Student bag (I think) and I'm a big fan. I don't bring my laptop to class, but I use my iPad with my Bluetooth keyboard so I have more room and the bag weighs a little less.

I'm just going to give you my personal opinion: I get annoyed by rolling backpacks. They get in the way of everything and they are so loud. That's just me though. Some people love them.
I bought a Vera Bradley Vera bag. It's very tall, definitely wide enough, and has very sturdy straps. I bought it at an outlet mall for half price. Plus, it's machine washable. But if you're a man, you might look a little silly with a Vera Bradley bag.
