Just joined the board. What a fantastic place! Congrats to all of you!

Will learn Monday if I was accepted to my local ADN program. If so, I'll be starting on the 22nd (holy aaargh!). Wish this very non-traditional student luck -- much older, bilingual, male... and this will be my fourth career change!

Nevertheless, I'm super-psyched and excited. So looking forward to learning lots and helping others -- tons of life experience here. Know I'll be needing your assistance along the way. You've taught me so much already (through reading two days' posts).

Welcome Larry. I'm new here myself, and I'm changing careers also. My best advice is don't get too discouraged with the negative posts from the nurses already working, because much of what they have said I've already experienced working in the casino industry such as the politics, bad shifts, etc.- you will find that in most other industries as well.:)
