What would you change about the nursing program if you had the authority to do so?

I would get rid of power-points entirely. I can read so I don't need teachers to read verbatim from a slide. Very boring and a time waster.

I would make sure tests have no grammatical or syntax errors (can be confusing).

I would ensure that the clinical instructor and the in-class instructor were aware of what is being taught in class to avoid arguments about expectations from the students (but, there are many ways to do a single task so could be difficult to do).

I would provide more case studies for practice even if they were worth little points. Sometimes, we don't see every disease or situation we talk about in class. I love case studies.

I would increase "simulation" time. This is a great experience! Safe method to test one's skills without hurting a real patient.

Just my thoughts from the top of my head.

I (and the rest of my class!) would LOVE to have something small to do that would allow us to earn a few points. In my program we only recieve points for exams. We don't have busy work or weekly quizes which is great, I can't complain much. However, I have been 1 point away from an A in a class before and that hurts a bit :rotfl:

If I were a miracle worker, I would change the clinical experience. I want everyone to be able to learn and not feel in the way. I would make sure the students were welcome to ask questions to the staff nurses.
