Mentally Transitioning up

What I am asking in a nutshell, is do you find (or think you will find) it difficult to make the next step from student to nurse......with the authority and responsibilites that go with the territory?

My question is: Do you find it difficult to make the necessary mental adjustment to jump into a situation as a nurse? I find things that need done to make things better, easier, or whatever for the patient or the nurses and do it. I wonder sometimes if I'm missing the focus. I have a social worker mindset and don't know if I should figure out how to toughen up or accept my outlook and find my niche that way.

I know this may sound confusing, not sure exactly what I'm trying to say or ask, but maybe someone can make sense out of this and understand it anyway.
