Meeting the Nursing Selection Committee

Has anyone ever gone to a group meeting with the nursing selection committee? Our college invites all of the eligible RN candidates to this type of meeting (at our school, only 13 - 14 candidates). Then they make their choices (only 12 get chosen)and send out the acceptance letters.

I had to do something similar to that. All of the eligible candidates were invited to meet with a member of the selection committee. We all had to submit an essay on a given topic, then we each had an interview. I was pretty nervous, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I had thought that it would be. They just asked us questions about our past education, and our future plans. Almost like a job interview.

Good luck to you!!!!
