Hey everyone I was starting a thread for all the fall 16 hopefuls for all the campus's at lonestar!

I take my hesi feb 18 and nervous doesn't even begin to describe my feelings!!!! Lol, I think I'll be okay on the math portion, it's the grammar and a&p that are causing my sleepless nights!!! Predicates, me or I, prepositional adjectives? Whaaat?? Lol and then a&p because there's soooo much and you have noooo clue what to focus on. I'm a bundle of nerves to say the very least lol

How about yall?!

My first choice is going to be kingwood, then maybe cyfair or north harris, I haven't decided yet, I want to get this test out of the way first!!

And can ya'll believe hcc closed their program down this year..... I was upset about that that was my first pick!

i know how you feel :saint: i had to take my Hesi test twice for it to be applicable. For the A&P part, it was pretty difficult but I'm glad I passed! I would say just review each chapter in your anatomy book, and buy a few practice books too, it helped a lot.

Thank you!

I have 2 practice books right now, the eleviser I and the McGraw-Hill and been on YouTube and quizlet non stop!!! I really don't want to take it twice, my biggest worry is the grammer. But I'm going to a tutor this week.i hope it helps.

what we're you suprised to see in the a&p section? Anything alarming lol

For anatomy, I had a new questions about the heart like the pulmonary and systemic system (know the difference) From what I can remember, there were a few questions over anatomy like naming the body parts. Also, know pivot and hinge joints and the examples!

Im applying to tomball and North Harris.. A little nervous but Goodluck!

That's great! I need to make a high score bc I have a C in a&p, my prof was terrible. Like terrrrrible. I was one of the few that wven

passed that class. I'm retaking it but im

going

to aim high on the HESI and see what happened while I'm taking A&P 2 since they take the higher grade or the two

It's just so

competive im sure there will be so many applicants with A's in everything and 97% on HESI í ½í¸«í ½í¸«í ½í¸«í ½í¸« lol

You just have to be hopeful!!

Don't be worried, the HESI really wasnt that bad. I made a last minute decision to apply to lone star so i only had about a week to study and still made a 92. The grammer was really straight forward, just keep reviewing and it will be a breeze for you. The A&P part was the hardest but not as bad as i expected. There were some questions about specific veins and muscles but other than that it was pretty basic. Im applying to the Montgomery campus as first choice and then Tomball. I have a 7.1406 so hopefully thats enough for my first choice!

Also I dont think Kingwood is open for the fall, i think its only in the spring.

Oh yes the muscles, that's the only part I haven't went over, I know the aim ones but with my luck they will ask me something about the iliacus muscle or something. I keep reading that it's not too hard but when there's a lot of pressure riding on the test it makes it more nerve wracking. I take it the 18th of this month just wish I could take it tomorrow already lol.

I think you are right about Kingwood, im

not from Houston, I am actually moving there in a few months so im not familiar with the areas just yet.
