Hi all! I'm a newbie here. Just found this board by accident and i'm so thrilled and inspired by the 'messages'. See, i'm 39 (going on 40), married, with a teenage son and, an 8 1/2 mo lab. A few months ago, I was laid off from a "miserable" job (talk about blessing in disguise). I have thought about going back to school to become a nurse for so long but never had the courage..and time. After a lot of thought and encouragement from my husband, i'm now on my second semester at a comm college and loving it. Those science subjects that scared me--I love 'em!! God willing, I should be in the nursing program by fall '05.

    Hi Everyone!

I'm a brand new nursing student. I was finally accepted into a "part time" ADN program. I will graduate in Dec 2006. There are 20 of us in our class and we go to school monday nights and every other fri, sat and sun for clinicals. It's been great so far. I am really excited.

About me, I'm 33 yr old mom to three, married for almost 11 yrs. I am leaning towards working with neonates, but my education and experience will determine that closer to graduation.

:hatparty: Woohoo, I've finally got a graduation date

    Hi,
My name's Ramona, I'm currently a student in pursuit of a nursing degree. I'm taking prereqs. right now. I'm finishing Micro. Taking it during a summer session is not advisable, it is tough. I have one week left. Anyway I'm new here. I hope to make friends, get good advise and find that occasional shoulder to cry on. Thanks

I am starting at University of Phoenix, I decide it was the best option for me, since I will go to class once a week and have a group meeting once a week. I can also change to online and my credits will count. I look into Drexel elearning and compared the two programs. I liked both but this UOP was the best option for me.
I will be starting Nursing 390 in two weeks
