I'm starting the BSN program at Mount Saint Mary's in LA
after completing prerequisites at a Junior College. I'm 49
and still going strong. I made a career change a few years
ago from graphic/advertising design. Couldn't stand sitting
behind a comupter all day. Nursing promises a solid future.
I imagine after 15 years as a nurse I might get tired of
    "people" all day?

Hi everyone! After 10 years in the restaurant industry serving people I've decided to serve in a way that really matters. I start EMT-B training in june and my pre-reqs in the fall. If all goes according to plan, with the grace of Jesus and Mary I will be in a BSN program by '06. This site has proven to be a real blessing as I plan my future:hatparty: .Thanks to all the established nurses for their wisdom and to all the aspiring nurses for sharing their hopes and fears.

    With Light and Love:angel2:

Hi, I'm Sandy. I'm working on my LPN degree. I start back for my summer semester on May 25. I have to just do clinicals until the end of July, then I start IV therapy. I was in the program last year but had to have emergency surgery in the summer term, I couldn't return and finish. So here I am starting over with students I don't know. Wish me luck. I'm a little nervous but determined. We will have our pinning and then our graduation in Dec. 04.
