Hi, my name is Jen and I live in Southern Ca. I am 23, have been married for a little over a year and start nursing school on January 14th. I am so excited, but nervous at the same time because I have several auto-immune diseases that can sometimes keep me down.
Welcome 2jen. I wish you the best in nursing school.

Hi I'm Jade Marie - 18yrs old, no kids, and waiting to be accepted into the Nursing Program for May. Right now I am waiting for my interview with the staff and a chance to turn in my essay. Any helpful hints to for the interview or essay? I'm really nervous!! If i don't get accepted right away - I will have to wait till september - I'll be in Medical Assistanting until I get into the Nursing Program. It's a very competitive admission!

    Thanks!

Hi, I'm Stephanie. I am a 37 yr old soon to be 38, wife, a mother of 2, ages 13 and 8. I decided to go back to college to get my LPN about 4 years ago. I've been doing most of my class part-time so thats why I'm into this so long. Now I'm in the full-time LPN program and I will graduate in July of 2008. I am working 24 hours a week at a birthing center as a CNA, and I'm having trouble deciding if I want to keep going for my ADRN. I can't work in L&D as a LPN in our area. so I don't know what I'll do. We'll see when I get closer. maybe I'll get a job at the clinic close to my home.

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse (in some areas they are LVN the V=Vocational) this is usually around a year full time and at our school seems alot faster paced and more intense than the ADN program I'm in

ADN - Associate Degree Nurse- RN a 2 year degree with about a year's worth of prereq's prior to entry

BSN - Bachelors of Science-Nursing - RN this is a 4 year, in some areas it's accelerated and can be completed anywhere from 2-3 years sometimes including your prereq's
