Hi everyone I'm Heidi, 28 yrs old. Currently doing (2nd year 1st semester) 3rd semester of BA in Nursing (Pre-Registration) at Flinders University, Adelaide South Australia.
Co-Secretary FUNMSA (Flinders University Student Association)
FURHS Member (Flinders University Rural Health Services)

I'm really loving 2nd year. Although the workload is harder than last year. Things seem to make a lot more sense than they did last year and we get to do a lot more clinical stuff which is always good.

    Hi Stephanie

In the Fall I will start a seven semester, part-time, evening program for my BSN. I am 49 y.o. married, mother of an adult child and stepchild who lives in Baltimore and attends ASU. I am very excited about starting a second career and also a little nervous. It is reassuring to see adult students entering the nursing profession. Good luck on your furture endeav:spin: ours

Hi , my name is Jane. I'm a 46 year old mom of two boys in college. I've had one year under my belt and was accepted into the NHTI nursing program on my first try. I was in a Physical Therapist Assistant/Occupational Therapy Asst degree program last fall when my husband had a stroke in November. I had to take 3 Incompletes which I finished in January while I was starting A&P II and Eng Comp. Those two are done now and I'm working for the summer b/c my husband is not back to work yet. While my husband was in the hospital for a month, I "interviewed" several therapist assistants and found they just weren't making enough to support a family. I talked to quite a few nurses up at Dartmouth and found that they were making considerably more so after considering all this, I took the NLN, applied to three nursing schools and got in two.

I'm excited to get going this fall. I plan on attaining my Masters as a Nurse Practitioner. Then I will really be able to support us.

Hello, my name is Jean and I am 39 years old and will be starting CSU East Bay (Concord Campus) in September for their BSN program. I have been happily married for 17 (next month will be 18) years and I have a 14 (going on 30) year old son. This will be my second career as I have worked for a bank for over 20 years. I have always wanted to be a nurse and I am just so happy to get accepted into a nursing program after so many years of prerequisites. I am taking my last prerequisite final on Tuesday.
