Internships/externships accept part time students?

  1. 0 I am interested in applying to internships/externships, but the problem is I might be a part time student after this semester. Therefore I need to know. As I am applying for future internships, in general, are part time nursing students eligible or do they have to be full time nursing students to be accepted?
    Just curious.

My program is only full time students. Is this a paid or non-paid externship? That will make a difference, because a hospital will not want to pay an employee for a longer duration of school. Their goal is to get you graduated and an RN ASAP. It would cost them more to hire a part time student than a full time student.
