I'm am so happy!
I applied to the accelerated BSN program last year to get into the Fall 2003 class, but was not accepted. I was crushed-everyone: my advisor, friends and professors who wrote my letters of recommendations had told me not to worry about getting in, that I definitely would. But the letter came and I didin't make the cut. Whe I called the school they told me they had 459 applicants for 50 spots and that since I had only completed 1 out of 4 required science classes I didn't really have a science GPA which made me less competetive. She encouraged me to reapply after finishing more science courses and recommended taking the GRE instead of using my SAT scores. I did both and applied for early admission for Spring 2004.
I was so amazed when I got my acceptance letter!!! The application deadline for priority admission is Aug. 31st and I received my acceptance letter on the 29th. I wasn't even thinking about the letter yet-we were told that letters would probably be mailed out the end of September.
I feel like doing cartwheels! Yippee!
It feels that much better having been rejected and reapplying and making it.
Thank you for all your encouragement!
