and great news! I had to sign up, orginally, for lab on Friday from 10-12:45, making my schedule a Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri affair, but was on the waitlist for the same time, but a Thursday lab. My academic advisor called me today to tell me if I still wanted a Thurs spot instead, one was open!
Yipppeeee! I'll be having a 3 1/2 day weekend the first semester. Not that I'll be doing much more than studying mind you............ :chuckle But the 1+ hour commute each way will seem better without the Thursday break.

Congrats!!!!....That's wonderful news......more study time is always a plus. I am going through a similiar situation. When I went for orientation the counselors from the nursing dept. previously blocked our schedules for us. Meaning that my Nursing 107 course is split up into Lecture, Lab., Clinical and Tutorial. My clinical unfortunately is going to be on Saturdays from 8:30 -2:20.... . I have classes on Mon - Wed...so I have 2 days to study and prepare for clinicals....I guess that's a good thing....right???

That's wonderful....enjoy it (while you can!). I had pretty much the same type of arrangement in my 1st semester and had friday's "off".....but didn't last in my 2nd semester as we were doing clinicals 2x/week--Thursdays & Fridays.

Yea! I think that sounds awesome! This semester I'll have a 3 day weekend too, but the downside is,I work 12 hour shifts every weekend, so that doesn't really count, does it? :chuckle
