Grads should begin applying for jobs early to midway thru their final semester of nursing school.
Hospitals and other health care agencies do their budgeting and plan for future staffing needs months in advance. Those that offer new grad residency programs fill up fast. If you wait until graduation, you may well be out of luck for many of those programs. - Feb 5, '09 by NewmanFamily6I graduate in May also. I have already gone on 4 interviews and accepted the one I wanted. I would definitely get out there and start looking. You never know when hiring freezes and such are going to happen.
