How do I learn Pharm Independently?

Hi all!

Does anyone have any advice on how to learn Pharm independently? My school doesn't offer it as part of their curriculum (which I am not happy about). Our teacher told us to learn it over the summer b/c majority of NCLEX is now pharm!! This is so overwhelming for me! i don't know where to begin. I bought a text but have not cracked it open yet!

What do I do? Any tips?

What type of program are you in? Maybe you could buy or download a syllabus/study guide from a college with a similar progam and use it to assist you.

Specializes in OB, lactation.

email me at [email protected] and I can send you some of my review sheets from my pharm class last semester if you are interested, for whatever they are worth...

Try to study each drug family and learn about each group and maybe a couple of main ones from each group at first. The drugs everyone listed in this thread will probably be helpful to know about:

My text didn't have a lot of practice problems for dosage calculations so I checked out a few books full of problems to work out from the library.
