How to do Drug search , Medline plus,Disease Info engine

I found it......I didnt know you could search that way....Thanks a bunch.

I watched that video and it was great. I only have a problem with wikipedia as a source. Anyone can add information to wikipedia, and I do not think it is reliable. Every instructor I have had has warned us about it. We are not allowed to cite that as a reference on our papers. Medlineplus.gov is an exellent souce. Use it instead of wikipedia.

I found this great site, thanks to a nurse practitioner I used to work with. www.epocrates.com. Not only can you look up drug info (though, it's not as in-depth as what you'll find elsewhere), I use it for the drug multi-check. You put in all the drugs your patient is taking, and it gives you a list of the interactions! It's a great help!

Another option, check with any medical office or hospital if you know any one who works there. Find an outdated PDR, phyisicians drug refererrence. They get new ones every year and throw the old ones out. its very in depth...more than an RN will need but, you can find out EVERY SINGLE ASPECT of a drug in there, huge book though, not one you wouldd want to carry around in your bag.
