Hello!

I will be attending a hospital's open house this week and I want to know what I should expect from it? Will I be interview by nurse recruiter and unit manager(s) on the spot? What about resume, how many should I bring? I'm assuming no cover sheet will be needed, right? How I should dress for this event? Any other input will be appricated.

Thank you in advance!!!

Usually for an open house, they have the units set up displays to entice you to sign up for their unit. Dress as you would for a job interview. No cover letter is needed but ensure you bring plenty of copies of your resume with your references.

Good luck.

Make sure your interview outfit includes comfortable shoes!!! That's important for any interview, but for an open house, you may be standing/walking around quite a bit.

When I went to the open house, I went by myself...unknowing that other students were going too, I then had 15 copies of my resume, just in case....but out of 11 students, I was the ONLY one who had a resume...and was remembered by the managers....
