Hospital scholarships and loans

I was wondering did anyone know any info. on hospitals or organizations scholarships that provided stipends or support in exchange for a work commitment. I would like to work in Arkansas or Texas. I have looked into the the NHSC nursing scholarship but it seems almost impossible to be picked even though my EFC is 0.
Thanks for any help given.

What I would do is contact the hospital you want to work for. That's what I did, and what a lot students do. What does EFC stand for?

Expected Family Contribution, it's what you're expected to contribute to your education. It's figured from the FAFSA. It's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to have an EFC of 0. I'm a single mom, and I've only had it once... followed by $15, and this year $300.

I did not know it was impossible b/c every year I have been going to school my EFC is zero and so is my cousin's and we both work part-time during the school year and full time during summer. I have contacted some and some say they just offer scholarships for employess and also its nearly impossible to find out about some hospital scolarships.

Try e-mailing their hr department. Got to start somewhere. If they can't help you, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.
