Good luck with school! My husband move here (years ago) to go to college and English was not his native language. He has done great! Just keep talking and listening and you'll do fine.....

choosing nursing school is hard.
i has changed my mind several times.
i get information about the nursing school from the homepage of arkansas state board of nursing.
i find lpn, adn, and bsn programs.
i think about a adn program at ualr.
i have a friend who started to study there last fall and quited.
she said, "they accept 200 people to the program, and 40 people can continue to study next semester."
she studied really hard, but she failed.
i don't want to follow her step.
now i plan to go to nursing school at harding.

however, i worry too much.^^;
i can study well at school, but how can i do well at hospital?
i hope to be a volunteer at hospital during summer.

Welcome to the boards. I know how you feel about the language barrier. My mother is also Korean and moved here at the age of 26, speaking absolutely no English. She is now in her 50's and speaks fluently. However, because of her struggles, she chose to not teach us kids the language (really wish she had, since I have always identified myself as being Korean American). Your English seems to be very good for only being here for 1.5 years. I have known many Koreans who could not write as well as you write with being here for that amount of time. Be proud of what you have accomlished so far and keep looking to the future. To practice your English, keep coming to the BB. :)
