Hear that eerie taunt? "Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat."

Young or old, we want that candy. It lasts well into Valentine's Day and the dental bills pile up. As Nursing Students, we all learn the healthy way of eating and scratch our heads trying to find a clever way to magically make all those sweet temptations just go away. What ingenious ways have you come up with this Halloween? Oh, and don't YOU eat all that candy now, you hear??

When the kids were little I tried the putting it up and doling it out a little at a time routine. It usually backfired [or not, depending on your point of view] as after a few days the kids would forget to beg for it and I would forget it was put away. I ended up throwing away a lot of candy.

Someone can donate those bags of candy to other children who don't have access to them

Several dentists where I live do candy buy backs lol you get sooo much $ per pound of candy....Our candy has never made it there :) I hide it from my kids and end up eating it once they are in bed until I get frustrated with my lack of self control and throw it away lol

During nursing school, how many of us have reached over and ate candy as we got stressed out? I'm guessing many!

We have sooo much candy left over, besides what my kids brought home! We can never judge how many trick-or-treaters we'll get. Last year, we were cleaned out of candy. This year we have a ton left over. Go figure...

Same here Tina. Last year we were slammed with kids so this year I got three big bags of candy..went through one. Too bad I don't have kids at home anymore since I have enough candy to last until it's time to fill Easter baskets!

Nothing wrong with eating chocolate. Haven't you read the latest studies that indicate eating chocolate may prevent Alzheimer's?
