Has anyone else "hit the brick wall"????

1. I swear, I have been so unmotivated to read, study, do homework, or anything else pertaining to school lately. I'm on the brink of finishing my first year of nursing school, and I just want a break! I feel like my brain is fried and no matter how hard I try I just won't be able to cram in one more Med/Surg chapter, one more drug card, or one more NCLEX question. I'm in my last week of classes and than have finals, but it's gotten to the point where I've actually thought "Well, I'm not indanger of failing, so why study?"
   
   WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!?!
   
   Am I the only one who needs a break? How am I supposed to get back on track for the next two weeks???

   i am ready for the summer too, i just dont care anymore either.
   
   i too know that i will pass my nursing classes, with B or C. all i know is that I passed. and if i can push myself harder, i know i can get that A. but who cares. i am just ready for summer break, and i cant wait to see my boyfriend and make love to him.

   I am with you, guys...this semester can't end soon enough. I find myself muttering generic names for psych drugs at red stop lights. It's definitely time for a break.

   Spring Fever. It's a common, highly contagious disease among nursing students. When the weather improves, the neurons suddenly don't function as efficiently and most students suddenly lose all interest in studying.

   Yeah. The problem for me is that I probably will go to grad school, where A's are important for acceptance into those programs. So I'm trying to stay motivated, but it's an uphill battle.

   Peaks and troughs in motivation are common. You can't be going full throttle 100% of the time. As your exam dates draw near, you'll get a second wind full of adrenaline and will be back in the swing again! Good luck!

    I'm in the same boat, and only doing pre-req's! I have my A&P lab exam tonight and haven't even opened my atlas yet. So unmotivated.

    It's not that I'm burned out, it's just that with each day of nice weather I can't help but find something else to do other than studying like going outside and working in the yard, doing spring cleaning, siting on the back deck and having a cook out and margaritas with family.
    
    I have one more week and I'm done with my first year. I think though that when push comes to shove I'll get a second wind this weekend in time to study for my final.

    I am with you all on this one. I graduate in 4 weeks...So senioritis has hit me in a BIG way!! Lack of motivation, apathy towards homework and reading! It is very hard to stay focused at this point...especially since I already have a job waiting for me, so its not like I have to worry about that part of the puzzle either. :hatparty:

    I hear ya! I have got the spring fever and since gardening is a huge hobby, it makes it much harder to stay focused. I don't want to write any more essay's, of course, that ain't happening. I've got tons of essay's to write for A&P. Oh well, I'll just have to write fast so I can out outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.
