Good study guides

Hello! I am starting the Nursing program at my school in the Fall and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good study guides to purchase? I go to a community college and the program here is very strict and competitive. I hear of a lot of people that fail it and I really want to be successful in the program! Thanks for any help!

First of all congratulations and good luck on this new adventure you will be starting. I hope that you find the program is more supportive than you think it is. I am in a cohort of students and we are a pretty tight knit group of students and I think that gets us farther than being competitive. We work together as a group to complete objectives and share them on google docs so everyone has access. Sure some students end up doing more work than others, but it isn't about that it's about fostering good relationships. This will help you in both school and when you become a nurse, it's all about working as a team. That being said, here are a couple study guides that have helped me out.

Those are the ones I use the most. The other things that are helpful in reinforcing learning is Youtube, & Pinterest. There are some good reviews and visual guides on both if you just search whatever subject you're studying ie. cardiac, hepatic, etc. Another thing I wish I had done and am going to go back and do this summer is keep accurate drug cards or sheets whichever you prefer from the beginning. Those only build on each other as you go through the program so continually reviewing them is valuable. There are some pre-made drug cards out there, but so far I haven't seen any that would be helpful at least in our program. Again, good luck and congratulations!

Thank you!! I will check those out, thankfully I do have a few friends in the program with me and we made our schedules together so hopefully we can all stick together and help each other! I am just trying to stay confident, I am very hard working but I am so incredibly nervous!
