Allheart is also a good place for steths. I just got a Cardiology III for $117.

**Note to the poor** Pay the extra money to get it engraved. When you spend that amount of money, you hate to see it sprout legs and walk away (which it will if you're not careful)

If you're worried about it changing the sound of the steth, take it to a trophy shop and just have them engrave the metal near the earpiece with your initials. It works!!!

I have a question about watches. I require a watch with a sweep hand, then they sent a letter and reminding us what we need and it read "Second hand". They are different right?

I think a watch with a second hand is all you need. I've never the term "sweep hand".

Sweep hand and second hand are the same thing, I think. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I have an Cheapy one I bought at a Work & Gear place, but I want to get a good one to get me thru 2 years of school. Do I want double or signal tubing? shorter or longer?

i have to say a littman is better.....well, i have a littman classic ii, the "cheaper" ones will last but one usually try to get a stethoscope for its audible capability. the tubing on mine is short in length. welcome to the board and all the best to you.

great idea kristy!!! i wish i had thought of that. i hope that the engraving does not change the sound. i should have mine in about another week...i guess i'll have to wait and see. that is a terrific idea that you have, though.
