:angryfire uggh! I'm very frustrated. Why do i have to wait just to get into the RN program :angryfire I don't know what to do if i don't get in again this coming semester. I feel like my life is being held back because of this. :uhoh3: I want to finish school already :crying2:

That's amazing considering I had no wait at all for nursing school. I graduated from a community college in AZ. They held the door open for me. There were only 17 people in my class. We started out with 30 and only 17 graduated. The instructors had known me from the LPN program. I originally wanted to go to PA school and had turned down nursing school. The head instructor practically got on her knees beginning me to enroll in the RN program. So, here I am 5 years later. I graduated in 2000. And, to this day I just dont get why there are so many applicants not getting in when they are more than qualified to do so. I hear stories about schools not having enough instructors to teach the classes 'cuz they dont get paid enough to make teaching worth it. I would go into teaching if I didn't have to have masters to get a decent wage.

BTW, my handle has nothing to do with what I do in nursing. I just couldn't think of another handle..Its really suppose to be Nurse at your service.

Aaah yes, the good ole 90's! It was just a few short years ago when almost all nursing programs had there doors wide open begging for anyone to just step through. I remember talking to the Nursing Dept. Secretary at my school and she said at one time they thought the Nursing Dept. would be in danger of losing half of the faculty or closing the dept. because there were not enough students (there was room for 48 and only about 20) to justify keeping the program up and running. She said, "We would accept people into the program the week before school started and now there is a 2 and a half year wait". Holy moly the times have change.

Everybody who's on the wait list...just be patient. Lots of people at my school had their names on about 3 different lists and they only had to wait about a year...get all of your other courses out of the way before you do the nursing classes.
