To Lyly, how is your CA BRN application coming along? Btw, I tagged your thread here in hopes that you can help others out with the schools that all your friends went to get their deficiencies completed and able to get the ATT in CA.

i love this story! we need to be more positive about this. i've been reading forums regarding this subject and yes, everyone has a lot of anger and frustration. but what can you do now since it has already been enforced? comply and accept it for what it is. work as an lvn/lpn if you have to. I too am an international graduate waiting to take the deficiency courses in order to take the nclex. i work as a cna now because the board for lvn is taking way to long evaluating my paperwork. and believe me, being in the field you gain experience, which teaches you more than the books ever can. have hope, be persistent, never stop trying.

    Hi there,

I am also in the same situation. I was born and raised in California. I went to the Philippines for high school and college. I graduated last year and planning to take my NCLEx for Nevada and LVN for CA. Anyone interested in making a "meet up" group so that we can all unite, support each other, share our stories for encouragement and maybe even have studying sessions. I feel we should work together and help each other out. I, myself have been feeling very alone in this situation because of the pressure I feel from family and friends. They do not know what the stress I am going through because they have no idea how it feels to have studied for 4 years and hoping that your education was just as efficient, adequate, and equivalent and just to come home after going through the hardship of having to adjust to a whole new culture, to be denied. When, most of us in this situation are BORN CITIZENS of this country and the state of California but denied the opportunity to reach our potential with our educational background. Anyone interested please feel free to message me here on AllNurses and we can discuss meeting.

    Thank you,

    Jessica
