I have one school that I am applying to that I can't get the application until May, one school that doesn't even know if they are for sure going to have a program or not yet (it will be new), and the one I sent the application to today. The application I sent today required an application essay. I must have rewritten it about a dozen times, but finally realized I needed to send it or go crazy worrying about it. I won't find out until December if I got accepted or not. Nothing like a little waiting to help the nerves, huh? Now, I just have to make sure all my teachers that I asked for letters of recommendation actually send them in. One did, but the other two didn't yet. Hopefully I won't have to remind them too many times. Anyways, at least one part is done for now. I will let you all know when I know more. Hopefully I will get into one of the three. If not, I may have to start by going to a surgical tech program and then once working keep applying for an RN program.

Best wishes on your application. Anything that is worth doing is worth fighting for. And since you seem to want this very badly I have no doubt that you will make an excellent addition to the nursing profession.

I am sure that you will do fine Kimberly! It seems that with such staffing problems that nurses who really want to get into school and get through school could do so without excessive stress! Don't get caught up in the worry - worry won't change an outcome! Just think POSITIVE!!

I live in Ohio and all the nursing schools around here are having open houses because there is such a major shortage...they are begging people to come to there school!
