This was last semester to receive student loans. I got my award letter today and it stated I could only receive 650 for fall and spring of my senior year. I am so hurt b/c this will be my sr. year and looks like I may have to spend it worrying about money. I don't even think my credit is good enough for a private loan. I am bummed, I am just venting here. Thanks for letting me vent.

I would make an appointment with the financial aid office and double check. You should be able to get unsubsidised student loans. Also ask if there are any Hospital's offering tuition in exchange for employment after graduation.

I was offered 631.00 in unsub. loan for the whole year. Has anyone been in the situation before.

I'm sorry you're having to worry about money in a time like this, it just adds stress that you don't need. Any way you could get a co-signer for a personal loan? Otherwise, I'd go talk with the financial aid people at the school and see what they suggest.

I haven't been in this situation. I actually got a lot more financial aid during this year (senior year), you get more the longer you've been in school. So I wonder if that's not some kind of mistake?

What about working at a hospital while you are in your senior year...........many hospitals will help with your tuition in exchange for an agreement to work for so many years afterwards. You can also check out Indian Health Service for grants................

And what about just working every weekend to cover your expenses?
