Miss Whitney,

they told our class that the incoming group would have FSCJ logos but that those of us already in the program would be allowed to continue with our FCCJ logo items.

Unfortunately, they can't use your stuff.

Ahh okay, thank you!! I think I had the teacher you had for my 1st term =). But anyways, ask around, because I would hate to throw them away. See if anyone needs an extra one (I know some people only bought one). Hmmm maybe I can rip the patch off somehow lol

In fact I am the one you are referring to and I got this directly from another Nursing student, so just because stat line didnt know does not mean that the staff did not hand out free ones!

Im wondering why Stat line only has 35 kits avaliable when we obviously have more than 35 people in the program. Im curious why the school makes us go to this one place just for these kits. It just seems to me that they are not very prepared.

I had gone a two days after I got my letter after calling them to make sure they had kits avaliable. They assured me they had some, but when i went they in fact only had two kits when i called and were out... then blamed the school for not letting them know when they were going to send out the letters "early"

And now they only have 35 kits?

One more question on pocket organizer...is it the nylon organizer kit ($12) or the pocket pal($4) on the meridys.com site? Anyone find this elsewhere?

And the skills kit says to call and pay for it when you pick it up...pick it up at the address listed for their store or somewhere on campus?

june i was looking on meridys and the $12 organizer kit per the site "...The 731 comes complete with 5 1/2 bandage scissor, disposable penlight, and 3-color chart pen..." The skills kit is supposed to have penlight, but we need the bandage scissors.
Im thinking the $4 pocket pal (which is the $12 one but empty) and get the 5 1/2 bangage scissors are only 5.00, save four bucks and not get the stuf that is not on the list.

I know! I am frustrated with Stat-Line. I called when I first got my acceptance letter and they told me they had 2 left. I drove up there immediatly (about a 25 minute drive) and by the time I got there they were gone. The lady proceeded to tell me that they were told that our letters would not be sent out until August 17th so they thought they had plenty of time to order the skills kits. She said they put in a order now that they know they need to. So I have the same question, if they knew they needed to order more, why only 35?? They have to know that there are over 140 people that will need them! They are not very organized over there. So I am going to be waiting outside their door Monday morning so I get in right when they open. Hopefully they didn't sell all 35 on Friday!

I spoke with the Stat line people as well. What they told me was that they order around 200 kits. The only recieved 35 of that order. She rambled about some items were not available from supplier or something. So it is not really all statlines fault.

However, they should have been ready, All the schools start a fall term so to have some on order early would have been the right way to go.

You can by the same kit at medisave with the scissors et all for like $8.00. Even has the same item code. Why run around when the internet makes it easy.

I don't know, I just feel like they sure do make a lot of excuses. But either way, as long as everyone is able to get a skills kit before we need to use them then I guess there's no point in stressing it. We just have so much to run around and do, we sure don't need the added confusion. I wonder how many are given away at orientation and if it will make up the difference that Stat-Line can't provide? Well, hopefully everyone gets one!
