If I am understanding you correctly you went and had your physical done, I hope not because it has to be dated after Aug 7, not before then or they will not accept it!

Tiara RN2010:
I am using my insurance for mine. Most insurances will cover the physical/check-ups as long as it has been a full year since your last one.

AmberFCCJ:
I am only 5'2" so I was uncomfortable ordering online as well and am glad I didn't...the regular length scrubs were ridiculous on me. I think we have to order our tops from Meridy's because they are specially designed for FCCJ students, but I am waiting until orientation to find out/try them on to get the right size (same with the polos).

Anyone know if our "pocket protector" is the same as a belt clip organizer? Has anyone bought this yet? I got the organizer, but am not sure it is the right thing. It came with a pen light, flat tip scissors and a chart pen.

Yes! During summer orientation they passed out a lot of skills kits. So I would wait on that purchase. It has stuff you need for Techniques class.

Also, although uniforms have been passed down in the past, remember that *we* are the groups that started when the school was FCCJ. *You* are FSCJ students and you have to have the new tops with the proper patch. The name tag has the school logo, your first name and last init. Even if your name would be the same as a prior student, you can't use their tag because the school logo will be wrong.

For those applying for worksource, WAIT to purchase some of your items! Worksource will reimburse the cost of the physical and titers. (You will need a receipt.) They will give you a book voucher to get all your books. They will also reimburse you for your uniforms. It takes 2 months before you will see any checks, including the gas.

Thanks Tiara,

I am aware of the dates but I go Monday to pick up the lab results and get the physical so the dates should be fine. They have all of the prices posted next to the check in window when you go for your drug test.

I'm using my insurance as well. I have my bloodwork appt tomorrow and physical scheduled for the 11th. I bought my scrub pants today at the uniform outlet on Beach blvd, so now I just have to get the polo, lab coat and top.

Anyone know how the sizing runs on the lab coats and polos? Are the polos womens or unisex? I don't want to get something that's falling off, as it is I had to try on 4 different sizes to find the right pants today.

And...anyone have a link for what this pocket thingy looks like? I feel like I may already have one from my EMT days and don't want to have to buy something new if I don't have to.
